Privacy Policy

In short: visitor statistics (Google Analytics) only run with your consent. Fonts and scripts are hosted on my own server. I only process your data if you write to me or sign up for the newsletter – and only for that.

This is a translation. The German version of this privacy policy is the legally binding one. Deutsche Fassung

1. Who is responsible

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Omid Jamshidi
Felsenblick 4
55585 Norheim
Germany
Email: Omid57@gmail.com

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Every time a page is requested, the server automatically records technical information sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, the page requested, referrer URL, browser and operating system. I need this to run the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not combined with other data and is deleted automatically after a short time.

3. Encryption

The entire site is served only over encrypted HTTPS (TLS), so anything you enter can't be read by third parties on its way to me.

4. Cookies

Without your consent, the public pages of this site don't set any cookies (exception: the cookie “consent”, which stores your choice in the notice, 6 months). Only the protected admin area, which only I use as the site owner, uses a strictly necessary session cookie.

Exception – ads: once Google AdSense is used on this site, section 9 also applies. Advertising cookies are only set with your consent.

5. Contact form

If you write to me through the contact form, I process your name, email address and message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR). The message is stored on my server and forwarded by email to my mailbox (Google Gmail, provider: Google Ireland Limited).

To prevent spam, your IP address is stored only in encrypted, irreversible form (a hash) for at most one hour. I delete your message once it has been dealt with and no legal retention obligations apply – or immediately if you ask me to.

6. Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, I store your email address and the languages you chose. Sign-up uses a double opt-in: you first receive an email with a confirmation link and are only subscribed after clicking it. As proof, I store the time of sign-up and confirmation and your IP address in encrypted, irreversible form.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by sending me a short message. Emails are sent through STRATO's mail server; no external newsletter service is used. I don't track whether or when you open the emails.

After you unsubscribe, your address is kept marked as "unsubscribed" so I can prove your earlier consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I'll delete it completely on request.

7. YouTube videos

Videos use a two-click solution: no connection to YouTube is made when the page loads, and the preview image comes from my own server. Only when you click "Play" is the video loaded in privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com. At that point data (including your IP address) is sent to Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred to the US. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

8. Fonts, scripts and social networks

All fonts (such as Vazirmatn, Lora and Inter) and scripts are hosted on my own server. No Google Fonts or other external libraries are loaded.

Links to Telegram, Instagram and YouTube are plain links with no embedded "like" buttons. No data is sent until you click a link – after that, the privacy policy of that network applies. The same goes for the share buttons under posts.

9. Advertising with Google AdSense

This site may show ads from Google AdSense (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and – with your consent – to personalise them.

Before that happens, a consent window (a Google-certified consent management platform) asks for your permission. Without consent, only non-personalised ads are shown at most. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG); you can change it at any time via the "Privacy settings" link. Transfers to the US are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

10. Visitor statistics with Google Analytics

To understand which posts are read and where visitors come from, I use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Usage data such as pages visited, time, referring page, approximate location (country/city), device and browser are processed. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.

Google Analytics only loads after you consent – on German, English and Spanish pages in Google's consent message (section 9), on Persian pages (no ads) in my own notice with “Accept all”. Without consent there is no connection to Google Analytics and no analytics cookie (_ga, _ga_…, up to 2 years) is set. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG); you can withdraw it at any time with the “Privacy settings” link at the bottom of the page. The data is deleted after 14 months. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

11. Translations with artificial intelligence

I mostly write in Persian and have my texts translated with Google Gemini. Only my own texts are sent – never any data about visitors.

12. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), and to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). A simple email to Omid57@gmail.com is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The one responsible for me is: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany, www.datenschutz.rlp.de.
