For the past few days, I have felt an overwhelming urge to find a quiet corner and simply cry. The images and videos emerging from Iran are agonizing; they are enough to bring any human being to tears.
I cannot erase the image of that father from my mind—searching through hundreds of lifeless bodies for his son, crying out: “Sepehr… Sepehr, my son, where are you? Papa is here… where are you, my boy?” These haunting scenes stay with me, making it impossible to find peace or sleep at night.
With reports stating the death toll has surpassed 30,000, this is nothing less than a crime against humanity. My only hope is that this dark era comes to an end as soon as possible.
