A short story of Winston Churchill quick wit

Nancy Astor — (the first woman in British history to take a seat in the House of Commons, a success she achieved through hard work and boldness) — once, in a fit of anger, turned to Winston Churchill (then Britain’s famous Prime Minister) and said:

“If I were your wife, I would put poison in your tea.”
Churchill (coolly, with a disdainful look):
“Madam, if I were your husband, I would drink it.”
